Learn, Create, Share

Zac's reading group read a story in their journal about a Grandpa who liked to invent things. Their follow-up activity was to design and create something innovative. Zac originally wanted to make a bird that sat at the front of the house but it's eyes were actually a video camera for security purposes. After lots of thinking and researching Zac changed his plan to create a penguin that could move.
He used a coke bottle, cut out the base and inserted a remote control car. He decorated the bottle and transformed it into a penguin....they often slide on their bellies. This is a photo of Zac sharing his creation at assembly with the Pukeko and Piwakawaka Teams. He did a great job. Well done Zac!
